Curatorial Stories
Stories behind the art, artists and exhibitions.
An artwork rarely exists on its own.
Behind what we see are ideas, decisions, materials, processes, experiences and questions. Some are immediately visible. Others remain beneath the surface and only begin to reveal themselves when we spend more time with the work.
Curatorial Stories creates space to explore those layers.
Each story begins with an artist, an artwork, an exhibition or a particular aspect of an artistic practice presented by CaroArtVirtualGallery. From there, the perspective widens. A material may become the starting point for looking differently. A recurring element in an artist's work may reveal a larger connection. An exhibition may raise questions that continue beyond the virtual space itself.
These stories are written from a curatorial perspective, but they are not intended to provide a definitive interpretation.
Instead, they offer another way in. A reason to pause, to look again and perhaps notice something that escaped your attention the first time.
Because experiencing art is not only about what is presented in front of us. It is also about the connections we make, the questions that arise and the way our perception can shift as we spend more time with a work.
Look closer. Follow the story. Discover another perspective.
