Caroline Geerling
Gallery owner | Visual Artist | Curator
Caroline Geerling is a visual artist, curator and gallery owner with a strong vision on contemporary art, presentation and experience.
For more than five years, she ran CaroArtGallery as a physical gallery, creating exhibitions for professional artists from the Netherlands and abroad. Within these exhibitions, quality, authenticity and connection between artwork, artist and audience were always central. Her curatorial approach is defined by attention to context, atmosphere and visual coherence. Rather than simply presenting artworks, Caroline creates exhibitions in which works enter into dialogue with each other and with the viewer.
Alongside her work as a gallery owner, Caroline continues to develop her own artistic practice CaroArtStudio. Her work moves between abstraction and symbolism and explores themes such as layering, structure, tactility and material presence. She exhibits both nationally and internationally.
With the development of CaroArtVirtualGallery , Caroline is now taking the next step: translating her experience as a gallery owner and curator into a new digital environment. CaroArtVirtualGallery brings together art, presentation and storytelling in a curated 3D space, where exhibitions can be experienced beyond the limits of a fixed physical location.
Through her dual role as artist and curator, Caroline continues to explore how art can be seen, shared and experienced — both physically and virtually.
Where art, presentation and storytelling come together.
Gallery Owner & Curator
As a gallery owner and curator, Caroline Geerling first established CaroArtGallery as a physical exhibition space, where contemporary artists were presented with clarity, depth and intention.
With a strong focus on context and visual coherence, she created exhibitions in which artworks were not only shown, but brought into dialogue — with each other and with the viewer. Her approach is defined by a careful balance between artistic quality, spatial experience and narrative.
This curatorial foundation now continues within CaroArtVirtualGallery, where her experience is translated into a new digital environment.
Through her work, she connects artists and audiences, creating exhibitions that invite reflection, engagement and a deeper understanding of the work.

Artistic Practice
Alongside her curatorial work, Caroline maintains an active and continuously evolving artistic practice.
Her work moves between abstraction and symbolism, exploring themes such as layering, structure, tactility and material presence. Working with mixed media, natural elements and experimental processes, she builds her compositions through a gradual accumulation of layers — adding, obscuring and revealing in a process that reflects both control and intuition.
Surface and depth play a central role in her work. Materials are not only used for their visual qualities, but also for their physical presence, creating a tactile dimension that invites a closer and more sensory experience. This layered approach results in compositions that feel both structured and organic, balancing tension and stillness.
Her work often suggests landscapes or inner terrains, without defining a fixed narrative. Instead, it opens a space for interpretation, where form, texture and colour interact in a quiet yet expressive visual language.
Caroline’s work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally, including art fairs, curated exhibitions and collaborative projects across Europe. It is recognised for its subtle strength, poetic use of material and its ability to create a sense of depth and introspection.
CaroArtVirtualGallery
With the development of CaroArtVirtualGallery, Caroline translates her experience as a gallery owner into a new digital dimension.
This curated 3D exhibition platform presents art in a spatial and immersive environment, where exhibitions are experienced rather than simply viewed. By combining presentation, context and storytelling, each exhibition becomes a layered and accessible experience.
CaroArtVirtualGallery offers artists a flexible and forward-thinking way to present their work, while reaching a wider audience beyond the limits of a physical location.
